Studio
Tekton is a design and fabrication studio. Every piece is built to order from a single log or a single plate of steel, finished by hand, and signed before it ships.
We build functional art with the presence of sculpture and the discipline of fabrication.
Selected Works
Recent commissions and available pieces.
Materials
Seventeen materials on one sample board.
Seven woods, five resins, three metals and two stones. Pick a wood and a resin: every drawing on this site, and the build below, switches to them.
Process
From rough slab to finished table, in seven stages.
A commission takes 8 to 16 weeks. This is the build of one river table, stage by stage, in the wood and resin you picked above.
Select slabs: Two bookmatched black walnut slabs, air-dried to 8% moisture

Commission
Build it together.
Start with a table: pick a form, a top and a base and watch it assemble. For sculpture, wall works, lighting or anything else, describe it in the inquiry and we will draw it with you.

The maker
Thirty years of building, now in fine wood.
Wayne Scott spent more than 30 years as a general contractor, known for high-end craftsmanship. A luxury home build that needed intricate woodwork changed his path. Tekton is what came next.
